How Often Should I Have My Transmission Serviced?
- At least once a year.
How Often Should I Check My Transmission Fluid Level?
- At every oil change.
How Often Should I Get an Oil Change?
- Every 3 months or 3000 miles.
What Should I Do if My Check Engine Light Comes On?
- It's impossible to know without a full diagnostic, but the last thing you should do is ignore it. Your check engine light may be the first sign that something is seriously wrong, and even a minor electrical fault can be dangerous.
Is Flushing My Fluid a Complete Transmission Service?
- No, though some shops will charge you as though it were. A complete transmission service also includes replacing your filters (when necessary) and completing an inspection of your transmission to locate any potential problems.
